Bradley International Airport and Delta Air Lines celebrate first ever nonstop scheduled service to Cancun, Mexico. 4/9/2008
Seasonal service will begin on April 12, 2008.
 
Windsor Locks, Connecticut – April 10th, 2008 – Bradley International Airport (BDL) and Delta Air Lines announced the launch of the airport’s first ever nonstop scheduled service to Cancun, Mexico. The seasonal service to Cancun, starting Saturday April 12, will operate on Saturdays, between BDL and Cancun International Airport (CUN). L. Scott Frantz, Bradley International Airport Board of Directors stated, “We are delighted that Delta has decided to offer nonstop service to Cancun, one of the most popular leisure and convention destinations in Mexico. Bradley International is determined to provide our customers with convenient, stress free travel options, and attracting yet another international destination is evidence of our commitment to this marketplace.” “Through our new nonstop weekly service to Cancun, our customers will have the opportunity to explore the sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters of one of the world’s most beautiful beach vacation destinations,” said Bob Cortelyou, Delta’s senior vice president – Network Planning. Beginning April 12, Delta Air Lines Flight DL497 will depart Bradley at 10:40am and arrive in Cancun at 1:47pm. Delta Air Lines Flight DL498 will depart Cancun at 2:40pm and arrive at Bradley at 7:33pm. Delta will operate this service using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured with 16 Business Class seats and 144 seats in Coach Class. Following is the flight schedule for April*: Hartford-Cancun Flight Number Departs Arrives Frequency DL#497 10:40 a.m. 1:47 p.m. Saturday only Cancun-Hartford Flight Number Departs Arrives Frequency DL#498 2:40 p.m. 7:33 p.m. Saturday only * Customers should visit Delta’s web site, delta.com or call Delta Reservations at 1-800-221-1212 for the latest flight schedule information. Flights will not operate between May 25 – June 20 and Aug. 17 – Nov. 21. Flights will resume operating on Nov. 22. Delta’s new flights between Hartford and Cancun are now available for purchase online at delta.com, where customers will always find Delta’s lowest available fares or by calling Delta Reservations.
